Bundick Lake

Bundick Lake is a man-made lake located in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana, United States. It was built in 1932 by the Consolidated Gas Company and was originally used for cooling purposes for the gas-fired power plant. The lake covers an area of about 2000 acres and has a maximum depth of around 30 feet. It is surrounded by pine forests and provides a scenic backdrop for fishing, boating, swimming, camping, and other recreational activities. There are several public access points around the lake, including boat launches, picnic areas, and campgrounds. The lake is stocked with crappie, bass, catfish, and other fish species, making it a popular fishing spot for anglers of all levels. Bundick Lake also offers opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and wildlife viewing. The nearby Kisatchie National Forest has several hiking trails and nature trails that provide stunning views of the lake and its surroundings.
